Newbottle Show 2009
Below are some of the plants that appeared at the Newbottle Show held at Newbottle in the North East of England on Saturday the 9th of May 2009, plants to note are, The 4 pot Alpine Auricula Class won by Terry Atkinson, Terry also won best Show Self with LIMELIGHT. Chris Gill won the 4 pots Show Auriculas and Barry Thompson won the Premier Medal for his plant of BLUE YODELER judged to be the Best Auricula in Show. Joe Davison won the Best Edged Auricula with the Green Edged Auricula Jupiter and Dave Skinner won the best Self Seedling class with his SEEDLING. Best Double Auricula shown in the Novice Class was CHIQUITA shown by Doreen Thompson, it also went on to win best Double Auricula over all. Andy Thorpe showed the best alpine Auricula in the Novice Section with SANDRA and Garry Hammerton had best Edged Auricula in the Novice Section with his plant of GAVIN WARD.
In the Primula Classes Terry Mitchell won best in the European Class
with a Primula Seedling and best in the Asiatic Primula Class with
PRIMULA FORRESTII which went on to win Best Primula in show
