The Northern Section has local groups that hold meetings, usually monthly or bi monthly, they are especially helpful to new members and help and advice are freely given in all aspects of Primulas, growing and showing. Talks and slide shows by some of the more experienced members make these meetings popular and a good way to spend an evening in good company.
North East Group. The North East Group are to be found at the Newbottle Workingman's Club on the first Tuesday of each month at appx 7-30 pm, Newbottle is on the Houghton-le-Spring to Washington road, [the A182]. For more details contact Vivien Self, tel, 01207 521381 or email jself@btinternet.com
Wakefield Group. The Wakefield Group meets at the Outwood Memorial Hall bi monthly starting in January each year on the third Thursday in the month at appx 7-30 pm. Outwood is situated appx 1 mile out of Wakefield on the A 61 Wakefield to Leeds Road, or very easy to get to from junction 41 of the M 1.
