Fears of a poor show thin on exhibits because of what appeared to be a late season were soon dispelled as exhibitors started arriving with some quality plants. Not in great numbers but more I think than anyone had dared hope for and so we had a wonderful show on the day. Once again the Vernales section had full benches and a riot of colour, once again we thank our exhibitors for their skill and dedication and for bringing their wonderful plants for us all to enjoy. The Brierly Cup for most points in section 1 went to N.Tyers.
The Millward Cup for most points in section 2 went to D. E. Thompson.
The Doris Jean Jacques Cup for most points in section 3 went to A. Thorpe.
The Webster Cup for most points in section 4 went to R. Taylor.
The Crocker Cup went to J. Walbank.
The Ogden Cup for best Seedling was awarded to R. Taylor for his GLP Seedling.
The Vernales Plate for best unnamed vernales seedling went to E. Hall.
The Lincoln Cup for best Auricula in show went to A. Guest for "Denim".
The Zanini Cup for most points in show went to N. D. Tyers ( 255 points ).
The Premier Medal was awarded to R. Taylor for his GLP Seedling.
The Spring Cup for best plant in show was won by R. Taylor for his Dark Ground GLP.
